My name is Arrate Martin and I am a Spanish Teacher living and working in Nottingham. I haven’t had chance to blog much on the new Language Tuition Website but I thought a short description about how the LTN was born would be a nice way to get started.
I began teaching Spanish four years ago when I was Unemployed and struggling to decide what to do and which direction to take my career. As a means to earning a little spending money I decided to try and offer some one-to-one Spanish lessons to anyone interested in studying the Spanish language.
I started off teaching in cafes, bars and where ever I could as I couldn’t afford to rent a space to teach. I only had a few students but I thoroughly enjoyed teaching and loved seeing my students improve day by day.
A few months later, I found a little studio at “The Art Organisation” a wonderful and inspiring place which I could just afford to rent and deliver my lessons. In the space of just a year things kept growing and before I knew it I was running a small Spanish school and I was loving it!
It was here I decided to take my business to the next level and chose to move to a slightly larger premise as I was struggling to accommodate all my students. As things started to grow and develop a whole avenue of exciting options and opportunities had opened up to me not only that I have met some fantastic people and made some great friendships over the past few years teaching. It hasn’t been an easy ride but I still love what I do and I never get tired of seeing my students succeed. I just hope things continue to keep growing and I’m really looking forward to seeing what the future has install!
